Hello! Just a quick pop-in to update everyone on what's happening in the Fall... It's been 16 months since we gave up our commercial space and moved into my home studio. We're still persevering & making art with some very talented kids!
Here's what's happening in the Fall...
• We're ready to find a new location! There is a place I've been going back & forth with since MAY but not sure if it's going to work out. If anyone has any leads on a space that isn't stupid-expensive in Bixby Knolls, CalHeights, Lakewood or Signal Hill, let me know!
• We are now enrolling for August and September! We will have limited classes in August as we transition from summer camps and then we will go back to our regular schedule in September. We will add more months to the website as we go just because we're short staffed. If you want to enroll for a month that isn't posted yet, send us an email.
• We are adding a new class for advanced students ages 10 & up on Tuesdays! Awesome Art Level 3 will have a prerequisite of (1) being a current Awesome Art Level 2 student, or (2) a current Sculpting FUNdamentals Level 3 student, or (3) submit 2-3 examples of your child's artwork to verify readiness to enroll. Once verified, an invoice will be sent to you to enroll. Please contact us to be placed on the waiting list - info@averyboo.com
• Homeschoolers! The new schedule has been posted for the entire school year! Please be sure to hold-your-place with us FIRST before submitting any orders to your charter. If we don't know you're placing an order, we can't hold a spot for you, hence we may be sold out by the time class starts.
• We have a new On Demand service offering art classes online. This is *not* like copying from YouTube videos or Zoom classes!! It's fun and engaging & allows the student to make the projects when their schedule allows. We thought this would be a better quality option than live hybrid classes and will offer more flexibility for our students worldwide. Right now, we have 'Too Cute Camp' available! Look out for more courses coming soon.
• MASKS are highly suggested but no longer required in class. We reserve the right to make changes to our policy at anytime to keep our staff & students safe.
• We've been getting a lot of questions regarding adding our toddler/tk classes back to the schedule. We'd like to add them back in after we acquire a new commercial location. • We've had lots of asks for a Saturday class. If this interests your child, please send an email asking to be added to the Saturday Class waiting list. Send your name & contact info, plus the name & age of your artist. We may consider adding this option.
• We will continue to hold classes in my home studio in 90807 until further notice. Current students, if you want to hold your spot for the fall, contact us, pronto.
